Yuichi Hirako<\/strong>, born in Okayama, Japan in 1982 is an artist based in Tokyo.<\/div>\n

He graduated from the painting department of Wimbledon College of Art in England in 2006. He has exhibited in Japan as well as in London, Rotterdam, Seoul, Taipei, Copenhagen, San Francisco and so forth.<\/p>\n

| Nature and Humans in Contemporary Society<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As a child,\u00a0Hirako\u00a0<\/strong>grew up in the natural environment of Okayama, Japan. In London, a major city where he went to study art, he felt uncomfortable with the term “nature” for the plants in parks or streets. Since then, he has been working on the theme of the coexistence of nature and humans, and the ambiguities and questions that emerge in this relationship.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hirako’s works are mainly paintings, but also include drawings, sculptures, installations, and sound performances, and he explores the boundary between nature and humans in today’s society through his artwork.<\/p><\/div>\n
