Yayoi Kusama\u2019s Yellow Pumpkin sculpture was swept up in a tropical storm last August.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
The artwork has returned to Naoshima, one of Japan\u2019s art islands in the Seto Inland Sea. It has been restored to its original setting, on the edge of an old pier, where it has been perched since 1994.<\/div>\n

Naoshima is full of unique installations by famous contemporary artists. Of all the projects on the island, however, no piece is quite as iconic as Yayoi Kusama\u2019s bright yellow pumpkin sculpture, which has become something of a trademark of Naoshima since its installation.<\/div>\n
