|Dreamy world of Tomoko Nagai’s paintings

In her works, there are always animals, children, stuffed animals, and sometimes fictional creatures painted in the background of woods or a room. The whole atmosphere trees and flowers, and mushrooms, surrounding her works, reminds us of the fairytale world that we used to know.

The use of many mediums and gentle brush strokes in the paintings create magical rhythms and so the works feel like one piece of music.

Viewers feel this in the air by actually standing in the exhibition, the room full of her works, and looking at her works, then somehow we connect to our memories and experience the nostalgic memories of the childhood, and the magical world we dreamed of at that time, as if we are wandering in the world of her work.

Tomoko Nagai’s work has a gentle atmosphere that reminds us of the pure feelings of the childhood.
