｜ “The Virtues” series
“The Virtues” is a set of eight cherry blossom prints by Damien Hirst.
After his “garish and messy and fragile” ‘Cherry Blossoms’ (2018-20) paintings, Damien unveiled this series.
The monumental canvases have been translated into a vivid series of eight laminated Giclée prints, which capture the fleeting, colorful blooms on sprawling tree branches.
“Virtue” is a quote from “The Eight Virtues of Bushido” advocated by Nitobe Inazo. The works are titled Justice, Courage, Mercy, Politeness, Honesty, Honour, Loyalty, and Control.

The Empresses by Damien Hirst is a series of five glorious prints depicting carefully composed images of butterflies.
They are named after five exceptionally influential female rulers.
